Gérard joined de Pury Pictet Turrettini in 2001 as Managing partner.

He began his professional career as a trader at Finex AG in Zurich and then as an investment banker at Blyth Eastman Dillon Geneva until 1979. He then worked at CBI from 1979, now UBP, where he was a member of the Executive Board. In 1996, he joined the Executive Committee of Julius Baer Cie in Geneva and headed the private bank as well as the investment department.
