Signatories of the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) as early as 2008
Ten years later, at the first PRI Awards in 2019, our pioneer commitment was publicly recognized by the nomination of the Cadmos Peace Investment Fund in the category “Active Ownership Project of the Year”.
The Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) were launched by the United Nations in 2006. It is the world’s most important initiative in the field of responsible investment. It is a voluntary commitment aimed at the financial sector and encourages investors to integrate Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) issues into their portfolio management.
In 2008, de Pury Pictet Turrettini signed the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI). Investors who undertake to respect the six principles must:
- Incorporate ESG issues into their investment decision-making processes.
- Incorporate ESG issues into their shareholder policies and practices.
- Seek appropriate disclosure on ESG issues by the companies in which they invest.
- Promote acceptance and implementation of the PRI among asset managers.
- Work in partnership with financial sector actors committed to respecting the PRI to enhance their efficiency.
- Report on their activities and progress towards implementing the PRI.
